A pair of venerable old women, dedicated to writing romance novels that publishers no longer want to publish (given the shift towards more risqué and unorthodox literature), are forced to rethink the plots of their works and decide to base them on their own libertine experiences from their youth, when they worked (quite literally) in the service of the progressive and charming Count Johan, now deceased, and cousin of the current Count Hubert, a grumpy and conservative politician and founder of the so-called "Moral Rearmament Fund." He, by chance, discovers the extensive "immoral" documentation that the two young women had compiled in their time, and which now, many years later, will serve as the basis for the old women's new stories, based on real (and very steamy) events. In an effort to preserve their reputation as authors of "honest literature," the elderly women decide to publish their work under the name of their nephew, Tony Bram, since the young man lives abroad and is easy to keep out of the loop. But when the books become a resounding success, the press descends upon Tony, who, of course, has no idea what's going on.

Denmark abolished all film censorship before its Swedish neighbors, opening the floodgates for skin and sin to spread across local cinema screens. While popular comedy actor Ole Søltoft was making his way through a variety of roles in erotic films, producer Anders Sandberg snatched him up to star in what would be called the "Zodiac Series" (only six were filmed, and this Leo one is the fourth), where each film was built around a different zodiac sign, each more erotic and/or pornographic than the last, taking into account that, in keeping with Scandinavian customs and culture, what was considered a "family film" there was, in the US, for example, pornography or "for adults only." "I Løvens Tegn (In the Sign of the Lion)" is perhaps the most explicit but also the most beautiful and entertaining of the zodiacal sextet.
