My third comment was cut off due to lack of space. It would appear that hard scenes might have been added later, as the actress's face and penetration are not seen in the same shot. However, this is 1976 technology and could be a limitation of that time.
The conservative French Prime Minister at the time, Raymond Barre, re-banned pornography in 1978, after having allowed it since 1975. The genre's success was so overwhelming worldwide that the most rancid French policy effectively killed it off, paradoxically in the "land of love." For this reason, many mainstream French directors who had turned to porn made softcore versions for release in their own countries, adding hardcore portions for international distribution, especially in the United States.
This was true in the USA too,albeit not banned by law. I remember seeing movies in "adult" cinemas in London where the actresses giving blowjobs would let their hair fall to cover the act.
